This brings an end to Zed’s New Year’s thing.  Yeah, took me long enough to get it finished.  I’m not gonna give ya any excuses.  I’m a slacker.  blah.

So the program I used to use for this strip (PhotoImpact Pro 11) crashed on my lappy.  That’s part of the reason I haven’t done a T&Z in such a long time.  I recently found my PIP 10 installation discs, so I figured I’d reinstall and resume the strip.  But 10 doesn’t want to read the 11 files I had, so that was awesome.  I spent the better part of my internetless day yesterday learning how to recreate the comic’s feel in CS3.  Not perfect, but I’m happy with the results.  There may be some new changes to the look and feel of the strip as I learn more and more advanced bits to Photoshop.  Hope ya dig it.

Alright.  Seeing as how I cannot creat new T&Z comics in the same style you all love an adore, we’re finding the boys with a case of déjà vu.  If you’re missing the reference, check back to episode #36.  If I can’t get things rolling with my lappy soon, we’ll be swapping over to a hand-drawn version of the comic for a while.

This is lame.  As most of youse guys know, I’ve been complaining about my lappy rejecting PhotoImpact since my last Windows update.  I’m betting that Nova Development pissed off someone over at Microsoft and they decided “We’re no longer going to let your program work.”  Not only does it no longer work, but I can’t even reinstall it because of of Microsoft’s stupid Data Execution Prevention (DEP).  It’s basically telling my lappy that the program may be a virus of some sort and won’t allow it to install.  It has a function that allows me to give certain applications to run regardless of the DEP protocols, but, again, it won’t run PhotoImpact.  ::sigh::
